Resistance to Censorship
Money Protocol is represented by a set of smart contracts deployed and executed on the RSK blockchain. The RSK blockchain is a merged-mined sidechain of the Bitcoin blockchain. This means the same miners that secure the Bitcoin blockchain also secure the RSK blockchain. Merged mining allows RSK to validate Money Protocol transactions, create blocks, and reference those transactions in a Bitcoin block, ensuring transaction finality. With this merged mining process, users can have peace of mind knowing that Money Protocol smart contracts inherit the battle-tested security of the Bitcoin blockchain. Layering Bitcoin mining with the technical design of no admin key and no governance allows for Money Protocol to be maximally censorship-resistant and upholds the freedom to transact.
