Immutability and No Admin Key

One of the unique features of Money Protocol is that it has no admin key. An admin key is a special permission that allows its holder to modify the smart contract code or change the rules of the system. This key is typically held by a central authority or a group of people who have the power to make decisions on behalf of the community. In contrast, Money Protocol does not have any central authority or key holder that can change the rules of the system. Instead, the rules are coded into the smart contracts, and they execute automatically without any human intervention.

Like Bitcoin, no central authority is by design and no admin key ensures that Money Protocol is fully decentralized and that no single entity has control over the system. It also makes the system more secure and transparent since there is no risk of a single entity abusing its power or making arbitrary changes to the rules or logic of the code.

By virtue of Money Protocol’s immutability, its smart contract logic is fixed and cannot be altered by anyone, including the developers who created the system. This ensures that the system is fully transparent, and all users can trust that the rules of the system will remain the same over time.
